Sleeping Santa

Chapter 1

"Please Lord, help us have a child!" sobbed Mrs Claus as she held her head in her disbelief. Falling into her husband's arms, it was hard to disguise their despair in this time of grief. They were devastated.

"My darling wife," whispered Santa comfortingly, "Why don't you go and have a relaxing bath to soothe your worries." And with that, she trudged off into the shivering wind.

[The Narwhal tells her she will have a child]

Chapter 2

Merrily resonating with the sound of Jingle Bells, the sparkling grotto buzzed with Christmas spirit. Santa and his wife were overwhelmed with joy as they popped Champagne for the elves who were giving them gifts. No one cared for the thirteenth sugar elf who wasn't invited.

With a violent bang and a cloud of icing sugar, the party was stunned to a halt. The silence was broken with the piercing shatter of a broken glass. A trembling elf screamed in horror. The fearful guests turned to face the furious sugar elf clutching her bitter candy cane wand. As angry as a bull, the unwelcome intruder stomped towards the baby and Mrs Claus faints into Santa's fearful embrace.

[Sugar elf curses the child]

[Twelfth elf softens the curse]

Chapter 3

As the arctic sun rose, Snowflake quickly opened her beautiful blue eyes excitedly anticipating her fifteenth birthday. She leapt out of bed. Snowflake tiptoed out of her room, whilst the grotto slept, then waltzed between beams of morning sunlight, which shone through the frosty windows.

[Went up stairs]

[Met Old Jazzy Frost]

[Cut her finger on a sweet wrapper]

[Snowflake fell asleep]

Chapter 4

For 100 long years, the grotto was asleep and enclosed in a sugary dome due to the Sugar Elf's curse. Elves were out of work, turkeys went uneaten and children were without presents at Christmas.

Courageous reindeer, from across the land, heard of the crisis and tried to save the stricken grotto. Despite warnings from un-abominable snowmen, who had seen many try and fail, these brave ruminants continued to try. Each time they attempted to eat their way through the sugary prison they became hyperglycemia from the overdose of sugar and tragically died.

Chapter 5

Snowflakes were glistening in the cold and frosty sky. A young and timid reindeer arrived at the grotto.
"Look at that pathetic little twerp called Rudolph," sniggered an arrogant reindeer to his self-centred friends. "His name should be 'Rudelf' with antlers that small!" he scorned.

Despite this, Rudolph, with his bright, red nose fearlessly ignored all their taunts.

[Rudolph's nose turns the sugar dome to caramel and breaks in]

[The grotto wakes up]

[Christmas starts again and everyone in the world is happy]

I shot up the remaining stairs and launched myself into my bedroom i shut the door as slowly as a snail . i scrambled for my bed . Suddenly i looked out the window and saw a full moon then a howl coming from downstairs . Suddenly i realised my belovid dog was downstairs i was like could it be?Surely this couldn't be happening?

Slowly the sky got darker, although I felt wide awake. I crept downstairs and scanned the hall. Someone was outside with an angry barking dog. I decided to ignore it and carried on with exploring the darkness. Although my mum says that no one will be in the house at night, I still had this strange feeling that I wasn’t alone. I twisted and turned left and right, as an eerie shadow circled me. I ran into the kitchen but that made it even worse. Is the legend of the shadow of death real? Well I’m about to find out…

As I lay under the evening sky I found myself falling asleep. BANG! I woke up “Hello” I called out into the beautiful evening sky but no reply. Slowly the sky got darker, I decided I would go back to my house. Slowly I got up I seamed to be in a mysteriously dark forest. I didn’t know why or how I got here or where I was. I started running my heart beating with terror. Thump! I hit the ground. I think my leg has broke. “Help” I cried through puddles of tears. Suddenly there was a scream…

As I entered the deep, dark  forest I began hearing strange noises. Slowly the sky got darker, my eyes seeing things. I started to think I wasn’t alone. Who else could be here? Then a big shadow flew past but no one was seen. My heart began to beat faster. I tried to scream for help but my throat was to dry was I safe? I had a feeling someone was following me. To sacred to turn around, I began to run. The feeling was worse than a nightmare. Would I ever get out of this forest?

Slowly as the sky gets darker,  a plate crashed to the floor as i was laying in my soft comfy bed,i lay there still and shocked blinking a couple of times to make sure this was real. Just as i was about to walk out my bedroom door i hear foot steps thundering up the stairs, as quick as a cheetah i retreated back to my bed. As my hands were shaking like someone who was in the middle of  the north pole i yanked the covers over my head . My eyes bulging with fear as i hear my bedroom door creak open . I CANT BREATH !

The sea was strangely calm and still before it happened. It hit me like a hurricane, my body sliding to the end of the deck. 'Be prepared for anything,' I said, making a mental note of what could happen to me. I reached out for the luminous  safety jacket and thought that I could be in for a bumpy ride. Memories of tales of life-threatening storms flooded into my head. Slowly, the sky got darker with gloomy, black clouds. Then i saw it. A giant wave- a tsunami. I suddenly wished I was back at home ...
