I knelt next to my dying mother. With blood spurting out of her, she whispered her last words, taking her last breaths. Clenching her cold, motionless hand gently, a shiver trickled down her spine. These were her last moments.
As I turned away from this sorrowful moment, I saw an ambulance approaching. Just as it was about to hit me, it swerved right towards the hospital. I had a vivid idea but I wondered what I would do.
My pregnant sister was at one ward and my wounded, crying aunt was at the other. Choice took over me. Who would I choose?
